ASHBOURNE
We held a coffee morning at Leek Building Society in Ashbourne on Monday 21st July. It was lovely to chat with their customers and share more about our telephone befriending service. We hope to be back again soon. Thank you to everyone who popped in, we really appreciated it.

UTTOXETER
We hosted a coffee morning at Leek Building Society in Uttoxeter on Monday, 11 August. While it was a little quieter than our Ashbourne event, we had a wonderful conversation with a 96-year-old gentleman who thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary coffee and biscuits. A special thank you to Sheila for joining me for the morning.

We held our first Spring Fair in May at Uttoxeter Heath Community Centre. It was a lovely day, and we raised £356, which is fantastic! Thank you to everyone who attended, bought raffle tickets, items from our stalls, and had a go on the tombola.

We would also like to thank Krystal Peaty for raising £30 from her Oracle Readings, as well as the Deputy Mayor, who popped in to say hello. A special thank you to Mary Dodgson and Carmen, one of her volunteers, who stepped in to help with refreshments.

We also had several of our Uttoxeter members attend, which was really lovely. They enjoyed chatting with the volunteers who call them, having a cuppa and a sandwich, and a mooch around the stalls.

Thank you again, and hopefully, see you next year! 🥰

We will be at the Groups Galore Social Event held at The Lime Tree Business Centre, Matlock on Thursday 12th June from 10:30am. This event is being run by Derbyshire Dales CVS. Please feel free to pop in and say hello, chat about our service, and have a cuppa!

Careline, a well-established charity based in Ashbourne, seeks new trustees to join its board and help make a difference in the local community.
