Hannah Hopkinson – Manager

Hannah is our new manager, joining us in 2023.

Hannah is originally from Derbyshire, growing up in Darley Dale. In 2010, Hannah studied BSc (Hons) in (adult) Nursing at Nottingham University and graduated in 2013. Post-qualifying, she worked in Neonatal Intensive Care, where she gained invaluable experience. She then fulfilled her passion for travel by living and working in Sydney, Australia for 2 years, where she worked for several charities, including UNICEF, which was extremely eye-opening and rewarding. Hannah returned to the UK in 2017 and worked for the NHS and private healthcare settings specialising in gastroenterology, an area which she became extremely passionate about.

Hannah has a little boy called Leo, who is the light of her life! With Leo almost at school age, Hannah was eager to focus on her career again, as well as being a mum, and felt she was ready for a new challenge. Hannah is extremely passionate about everything Careline represents and is looking forward to her future with the charity.

Carolyn Storer – Befriending Coordinator

Carolyn has been with Careline as Befriending Co-ordinator for over 6 years. She moved from Essex to Staffordshire with her gorgeous cat, Bumble, in 2016.

After a 15-year career as a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and running her own business as a professional wedding and portrait photographer, Carolyn decided a fresh start was needed. As well as moving to a different part of the country, she also had a change in career, and joined Careline in 2017.

Carolyn is studying Forensic Psychology BSc (Hons) with the Open University, and can be found hiking in the Peak District, reading (she always has her nose in a book), or making jewellery in her home studio.
