Careline (Registered Charity No. 1068801) provides a free telephone befriending service for people living in the Derbyshire Dales, Erewash, and East Staffordshire.
Our mission is simple: to improve lives through regular, friendly phone calls to adults (aged 18 and over) who may be less able to get out, recently bereaved, or feeling lonely or isolated, or who may be experiencing depression and anxiety.
We offer companionship along with reassurance and peace of mind for your family and friends, through our follow-up process. If we can’t reach you during your chosen call time, we’ll contact someone of your choosing, such as a neighbour or family member, to check that everything is okay.
Our dedicated team of volunteers delivers these calls, creating valuable social connections and helping you feel more confident in living independently. We also keep an eye on your well-being and share information about local services that may be of benefit, ensuring you remain supported and connected within your communities.
Our service is completely free and available every day of the year, including weekends and bank holidays.
