Thank you all very much!

We are so grateful for all of the support that we receive from our local community and want to say a big thankyou! So this page is dedicated to everyone who makes a donation to Careline  – no matter how big or small, every penny really does help to keep our service running.

Thank you to everyone who helped to keep Careline going by making a donation during 2018, including:

Last year was a particularly difficult one financially for the charity, but because we had such fantastic help from the  community we have been able to keep our telephone befriending service  running and to  support those needing us. But as we start 2019 we do so in a much more secure situation, having just secured 2 years of funding from the Big Lottery which will enable us to continue to develop our service and meet the growing demand! In the meantime we will  continue to fund raise,  to  ensure that we have enough resources to keep Careline going once that  funding comes to an end in 2021.

Thank you to all the staff and customers of Sainsbury’s in Ashbourne who last year supported Careline whilst we were charity bag packing at the store. All together we were able to raise a whopping £1515.78!

Many thanks to Foundation Derbyshire which has generously awarded £2,000 to Careline.

Careline’s first new monthly Coffee & Chatter morning, held at St Oswald’s Hospital in Ashbourne, was a great success! Many of our members and volunteers attended as well as people from the local community. Our next Coffee & Chatter morning will be Friday 9th March, 10am-12pm. So if you fancy a free cup of tea or coffee, and a slice of homemade cake, please add it to your diaries as we’d love to see you there!

Thank you 3

We would like to say a huge thank you to the community for continuing to support us.

So many individuals, volunteers, local societies, organisations and businesses have stepped forward to help and we appreciate it so much.

We would particularly like to thank:

  • Virgin Care
  • Toyota Charitable Trust
  • Derbyshire County Council
  • Sainsbury’s
  • Caroline Cooper
  • Ashbourne & District Probus Club
  • Woodroffe Benton Foundation
  • Uttoxeter Lions
  • Ashbourne Singers
  • Linda Wheeldon
  • Marston Montgomery Relief
  • The Freemasons Charity
  • Shrovetide Dance Committee
  • Uttoxeter Knights
  • Inner Wheel Club of Uttoxeter
  • Ramathon
  • Grand Provincial Charity (Masons)
  • Ashbourne Mayors Charity

to name but a few.

We would also like to thank our volunteers and all those who have given us their time, donations or help with our fundraising events. You have contributed enormously to ensuring that we are able to maintain our free telephone befriending service to the elderly and most vulnerable members of our society.

We are still searching for that elusive large scale funding, but thanks to all our supporters we are able to continue running the service for the foreseeable future.

We wish you the very best for 2018

Jane, Jo & Carolyn and Trustees
