Could you, or someone you know, benefit from our free telephone befriending calls?
If you, or someone you know, live in Derbyshire Dales, East Staffordshire, or Erewash, we’d love to help.
Once we receive your information, we will make every effort to call you as soon as possible. All information you provide will be treated with complete confidentiality.
Who Our Service Is For
We welcome referrals from individuals who:
- Are aged 18 or over.
- Live in the Derbyshire Dales, Erewash, or East Staffordshire.
- Have their own landline or mobile phone.
- Are able to hear and be understood over the phone.
- May feel lonely or socially isolated due to bereavement, disability, rural location, caring responsibilities or limited mobility.
Typical examples include:
- Someone who is housebound and missing regular contact.
- A recently bereaved person who feels isolated.
- A carer who has little opportunity for social interaction.
Who Our Service Does Not Cover
We’re not the right service for:
- Individuals under 18.
- People experiencing an acute mental health crisis, with severe cognitive impairment, or addiction requiring specialist services.
- People needing emergency or 24-hour support – we are not a crisis service.
