Volunteer

Would you like to become a Careline volunteer?

We are always looking for new people of all ages to join our team of volunteers!

We have a loyal group of over 50 volunteers, many of whom have been supporting Careline for years. The befriending  calls are made either from our office in St Oswalds Hospital or from home. So if you are less mobile but feel that you would like to become a volunteer please do get in touch.

Your involvement can be as little as 2 hours per month or on a weekly or fortnightly basis, whatever best fits with your diary.

Individual training is provided and you will receive on-going support from the Careline Befriending Co-ordinator and Careline Manager. A regular Newsletter keeps everyone up-to-date and volunteers have the opportunity to get together at a variety of social, fundraising and training events throughout the year.

Our volunteers tell us that they find being part of Careline extremely rewarding and really enjoy the calls that they make to our members.
